10月12日，姜再冬大使前往万象103医院，看望正在这里开展“援老挝消除白内障致盲项目”的香港共享基金会团队。我馆政治处主任洪江等参加。

On October 12, Ambassador Jiang Zaidong visited Vientiane 103 Hospital to visit the Hong Kong GX Foundation team who launched the Project to Eliminate Cataract blindness in Laos. Hong Jiang, director of the political Office of our museum, attended the meeting.

姜再冬了解了团队工作和生活情况并同大家就推进项目实施进行交流，表示，香港共享基金会主席梁振英先生上个月访老，同老挝总理潘坎举行会晤并同副总理宋赛共同出席“援老挝消除白内障致盲项目”启动仪式。从那时到现在不到一个月时间，基金会工作团队克服新冠疫情影响和物质条件局限，成功实施了近400例手术，以实际行动体现了共商共建共享的“一带一路”精神，展现了中国医疗工作者“特别能吃苦、特别能战斗”的风貌。希望并相信在梁振英主席的领导下，在老挝政府的配合下，共享基金会老挝团队一定能善作善成，实现3至5年内帮助老挝完全消除白内障致盲的目标，为老挝人民带来光明，为中老“一带一路”合作作出贡献。

Jiang Zaidong learned about the work and life of his team and communicated with them on promoting the implementation of the project. He said that Mr.Leung Chun-ying, Chairman of the Hong Kong GX Foundation, visited Laos last month, met with Lao Prime Minister Pankan and attended the launching ceremony of the "Cataract blindness Elimination Project in Laos" together with Deputy Prime Minister Song Sai. In less than a month since then, the foundation team has overcome the impact and material limitations of COVID-19 and successfully performed nearly 400 operations, demonstrating the "Belt and Road" spirit of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, and demonstrating the style of Chinese medical workers who are "particularly capable of hardship and fighting". I hope and I believe that under the leadership of President Leung Chun-ying and with the cooperation of the Lao government, the Lao team of the GX Foundation will be able to achieve the goal of helping Laos completely eliminate cataract blindness within three to five years, bring light to the Lao people and contribute to the Belt and Road cooperation between China and Laos.

大家表示，在使馆的大力支持和老方的积极配合下，团队工作正按计划有序开展。下步，团队将继续认真落实梁振英主席同老挝领导人达成的共识，做好本职工作，通过参与中老在卫生、人道主义救助等民生领域合作，为构建中老命运共同体作出应有努力。

They said that with the strong support of the embassy and the active cooperation of the Lao side, the team work is carrying out in an orderly manner as planned.
